 \textbf {Hey there, here is the solution.}

.............................................................................................

Let the distance traveled by each part of the journey be x.

.

Find the duration of journey with 3km/hr

Duration = x/3 hours

.

Find the duration of journey with 4km/h

Duration = x/4 hours

.

Find the duration of journey with 5km/h

Duration = x/5 hours

.

Convert 47 mins to hours:

47 mins = 47/60 hours

.

Form equation and solve x:

x/3 + x/4 + x/5 = 47/60

47/60 x = 47/60

x = 1 km

.

Find the total distance traveled:

Total distance - 1 x 3 = 3 km

.

Answer: The total distance is 3 km

.

Let the total distance be 3x km

x/ 3 + x/4 + x/5 = 47/60

MULTIPLY BY 60

20x + 15x +12x = 47

47x = 47

x = 1

3x = 3 km ANSWER

CHECK

1/3+1/4+1/5 = (20+ 15+ 12) /60 = 47/60 = 47 minutes

sanjeevchhabrapdt2w5: 3 km
