Answer:

  • 75 Newton is the required moment of force.

Explanation:

According to the Question

It is given that ,

  • Magnitude of Applied Force ,F = 150N
  • Perpendicular Distance = 50cm

we have to calculate the moment of force .

As we know that Moment of Force is calculated by the product of Force and its perpendicular distance.

Firstly we change the unit here

Conversion of Unit :

↠ Perpendicular Distance = 50/100 m

↠ Perpendicular Distance = 0.5m

Now, calculating the Moment of Force by using Formula.

  • Moment of Force = Force×Perpendicular distance

by putting the value we get

↠ Moment of Force = 150×0.5

↠ Moment of Force = 15×5

↠ Moment of Force = 75N

  • Hence, the moment of force will be 75 Newton.

Formula Used :

Moment of force :

\large{\blue{\bigstar{\underline{\boxed{\red{\sf{ Moment\: of \:Force = Force \times Distance}}}}}}}

\qquad{━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━}

Requird Converting :

1 m = 100 cm. Hence,

\blue{\leadsto}{\sf{perpendicular Distance = \dfrac{50}{100}}}

\blue{\leadsto}{\sf{perpendicular Distance = \cancel\dfrac{50}{100}}}

\large\pink{\leadsto{\underline{\sf{ 0.5 m}}}}

\qquad{━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━}

Finding the moment of force :

\qquad{:\implies{\sf{ Moment\: of \:force = Force \times Distance }}}

\qquad{:\implies{\sf{ Moment\: of \:force = 150 \times 0.5 }}}

\qquad\large{\red{:\longmapsto{\underline{\overline{\boxed{\green{\sf{ Moment \: of\: force = {\red{\sf{ 75 N}}}}}}}}}}}

\qquad{━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━}

Therefore :

❝ Moment of force on the nut is 75 N.
