Explanation:

Given:-

• First Walk → Distance = 1.5 km, Time taken = 30 minutes

• Second Walk → Distance = 2 km, Time taken = 50 minutes

• Third Walk → Distance = 3.5 km, Time taken = 55 minutes

Now, the formula to find Average Speed is:-

Now, the formula to find Average Speed is:-→ Total Distance/ Total Time taken

• Total Distance covered = (1.5 + 2 + 3.5) km = 7 km

• Total Time taken = (30 + 50 + 55) minutes = 135 minutes i.e 2 hrs and 15 minutes or 2¼ hours.

→ Average Speed = 7 ÷ (2¼) km/hr

→ Average Speed = 7 ÷ 9/4

→ Average Speed = 7 × 4/9 = 28/9 km/hr

Therefore, the average speed for the given data is 28/9 km/hr or 3.11 km/hr.
