Average velocity = 1.304 m/s

● Explaination-
# Given -
s1 = 30 m
s2 = 40 m
v1 = 2 m/s
v2 = 1.5 m/s

# Solution -
Total time taken is -
t = s1/v1 + s2/v2
t = 30/2 + 40/1.5
t = 15 + 23.33
t = 38.33 s

Total distance travelled is given by
d = s1 + s2
d = 30 + 40
d = 70 m

Displacement is given by-
s = √(s1^2 + s2^2)
s = √(30^2 + 40^2)
s = 50 m

Average speed is calculated by-
vavg = d / t
vavg = 70 / 38.33
vavg = 1.826 m/s


Average velocity is calculated by-
v = s / t
v = 50 / 38.33
v = 1.304 m/s
