 R is the radius.

 x=Rcos 60°

      =\frac{R}{2}  

y=Rsin60°

   =\frac{\sqrt{3}R }{2}

Let displacement from A to B IN circular path is AB=d

d^{2} =(R+x)^{2} +y^{2}

    =(R+\frac{R}{2} )^{2} +(\frac{\sqrt{3} R}{2} )

   = \frac{9R^{2} }{4} +\frac{3R^{2} }{4}

d^{2} =3R^{2}

   d=\sqrt{3} R

The distance covered by the person is √3R
