m

like if it starts from A corner then the maximum displacement will be when he at C corner.
h {}^{2} = p {}^{2} + b {}^{2} \\ h {}^{2} = 100 {}^{2} + 100 {}^{2} \\ h {}^{2} = 20000 \\ \sqrt{h {}^{2} } = \sqrt{20000} \\ h = \sqrt{2 \times 10000} \\ h = 100 \sqrt{2} m
