A person walks up a stalled escalator in 45 sec. He is carried in 60s, when standing
on the same escalator which is now moving. The time he would take to walk up
the moving escalator will be :-​

Answer: 25.71s

Explanation: for t=45;

v=d/t

v=d/45

For t=60;

v=d/60

Vrel. = Vman+ Vescalator (since in the same direction)

Therefore,

t= d÷ d/60+d/45

t= d÷ 105d/60*45

= d× 60×45÷105d

= 25.71s
