BECAUSE WOOD IS OPAQUE AND IT WILL NOT PASS ANY SUBSTANCE FROM IT BUT FROM WOOD AIR COULD ALSO NOT PASS THROUGH IT

Answer: wood is opaque

Therefore any substance cannot enter it and thus air (hot ) also will not enter.
