A person who contributes his name and goodwill for the partnership firm to use for their benefit , is called a Nominal partner , either by estoppel or by holding out.

a) By estoppel -  a person who by his actions or words , admit that he is a partner of a firm

b) By holding out - a person who does not say that he is a partner in a firm , but does not correct or stop , when others call him a partner
