a person who is suffered from near sighted Ness his far point at the distance of 80cm. how to correct it, which lens is used and find the power of lens.

The person is suffering from myopia defect of vision . In this case , image is form before retina ,not on the retina .

◆ concave lens is used to correct this vision ...

u = infinity .
v = -80 cm ( far point ) .

⬇️By using lens formula!!!!!

1/f = 1/v - 1/u .

1/f = 1/ (-80) - 0 .

1/f = 1/-80 .

f = -80 cm.

f = -0.8m .

⬇️now , ----------------------

p= 1/f .

p = -1.25 D ...
