So, According to question,

200/3 % of x = 1200

200/3 ÷ 100 of x = 1200

2/3x = 1200

2x = 1200× 3

x = 3600/2 = 1800.

So,his Income = 1800.

Therefore, his expenses = Income - Savings

= Rs(1800 - 1200) =Rs 600

Hence, expenses = Rs 600
