A person willing to catch a bus sees the bus standing at 25 m from him. He starts running onas bus with constam
of 6.25 ms and at the same time bus starts moving away from him with constant acceleration of 5 ms. After wha
will he catch the bus? Are you getting two values of time? Why are you getting two values? What is playical sign
of two values? For what value of speed of the person will you get single value of time? What will happen if the
person is less than this?​

Person will catch bus after 5 Secs ,  at man speed 5 m/s we will get Single value of time

Explanation:

Let Say person Can bus after    t  Secs

person Constant Speed = 6.25 m/s

Distance = Speed * time

Distance Covered by person = 6.25t   m

initial Speed of Bus u  = 0 m/s

acceleration  a  = .5 m/s²

Distance Covered S = ut + (1/2)at²

Distance = 0 + (1/2)(0.5)t²  = t²/4

Distance covered by person is 25 m  more than Bus to Capture

t²/4  + 25   =   6.25t

=>  t²  + 100  = 25t

=>  t² -  25t  +100 = 0

=> t² -  5t - 20t + 100 = 0

=> t(t - 5) - 20(t - 5) = 0

=> ( t - 20)(t - 5) = 0

=> t =  5   , 20

after 5 secs    or 20 secs

and person ahs constant Speed & bus has acceleartion

so later on Bus Catch Person ( actually)

To get a Single Value of time , at the time of catching Speed of man should be equal to speed of Bus

Let say Person Speed =  V

Distance Covered  = Vt

Velocity of Bus  =  0 + (0.5)t  

=> V = 0.5t

=> V = t/2

now replacing 6.25  with 0.5t  in last Equation

t²/4  + 25   =   6.25t

=> t²/4  + 25   =  (t/2)t

=> t²/4  + 25   =   t²/2

=>  t²/4  = 25

=>   t² = 100

=> t = 10

V = t/2 = 10/2  = 5  m/s

speed of the person   5 m/s to get single value of time

if Speed of person is less than 5 m/s then person will never be able to catch bus as before covering 25 m gap the Bus speed will be more than of

person
