Generally, myopia can be corrected by using the concave lens. The lens that are thin at edges and thick at the centre is called as the concave lens. Myopia is also called as short-sightedness which means the object which are at short distance can be seen clearly whereas the objects which are at long distance cannot be seen very clearly. In myopic cases the use of concave lens helps to focus the image on the retina. The vice versa of above stated case is hypermetropia. These problems can be solved using glass, lens or with laser surgery.
