Hi there!
Here's the answer:

•°•°•°•°•°<><><<><>><><>°•°•°•°•°•°

 Velocity\: v = \frac{Distance\: d}{Time\: t}

=>  Distance = Velocity × Time

Given,
Distance covered by x = distance covered by y
=> d_{x} = d_{y}

We have,
d_{x} = v_{x}t_{x} -------(1)
d_{y} = v_{y}t_{y} -------(2)

Equate(1) & (2)

v_{x}t_{x} = v_{y}t_{y} -------(2)

=> v_{y} = \frac{v_{y}t_{y}}{t_{y}}

 t_{x} = 3Hrs\: 20 min
=>3 + (\frac{20}{60}) = 0.33 Hrs

 t_{y} = 4Hrs\: 48 min
=>4 + (\frac{20}{60}) = 4.8 Hrs

Substitute values in v_{y}

=>  v_{y} = \frac{3.33×4.5}{4.8}

=>  v_{y} = \frac{14.99}{4.8}

•°• v_{y} = 3.12 km
