A person’s present age is two-fifth of the age of his mother. After 8 years, he will be one-half of the age of his mother. How old is the mother at present?

Person=2/5 of mother

Person / mother =2/5

After 8 years

Person/ mother =2x+8/5x+8

And a/c to question

2x+8=(5x+8)1/2

4x+32=5x+8

X=24

Present age of mother =5x=5*24=120
