Answer:

18463.16 cubic.cm.

Step-by-step explanation:

A petrol tank is in the shape of cylinder with two conical ends .

So, Volume of Tank = Volume of cylinder +Volume of 2 cones

Diameter of cylinder = 28 cm

Radius = Diameter /2 = 28/2 = 14 cm

Height of the cylinder = 24 cm

Volume of cylinder = \pi r^2 h

                                = 3.14 \times 14^2(24)

                                = 14770.56cm^3

Radius of cone = 14 cm

Height of cone = 9 cm

Volume of cone = \frac{1}{3} \pi r^2 h

                           = \frac{1}{3} \times 3.14 \times 14^2 (9)

                           = 1846.32cm^3

Volume of 2 cones = 1846.32\times 2=3692.6 cm^3

Volume of tank = 14770.56+3692.6 = 18463.16 cubic.cm.

Hence the capacity of the tank is 18463.16 cubic.cm.
