to check the electrical neutrality of an atom u can't relate it with no. of neutrons...bcoz neutrons have no charge

so to check whether the atom is neutral or not u must compare its no. of electrons and protons

nd in the case of PHOSPHORUS no. of electrons and protons are same i.e., 15

Answer:

Explanation:

The total electrical charge on an atom depends on the number of protons and the number of electrons.

Neutrons do not carry any charge therefore they do not affect the total electrical charge on the atom.

Electrons carry a negative charge while protons carry a positive charge.

In Phosphorus number of protons is 15 that is it has plus 15 charge while it has 15 electrons does it has minus 15 charge.

As the charge cancel each other the atom of phosphorus is electrically neutral.
