A photo is mounted on a cardboard of dimensions 12cm×10cm. if the photo measures 8 cm × 26 cm and is placed in the middle of the cardboard, what is the area of cardboard that is visible outside the photo .​

Visible area of the cardboard is given by,

= Area of the cardboard - Area of the photo.

And also,

Area of the photo,

= 8*26

= 208cm²

Area of the visible cardboard is :-

= 208cm² - 120cm²

= 88cm²
