dimension of the area of the frame or the area between the photo with the frame and the photo without the frame:

length= length of photo with frame- length of photo without frame= 8-6= 2 cm

width: width of photo with frame- photo without frame= 6-4.5=1.5 cm

area of the frame= length × breadth

= 2×1.5= 3 cm²

cost of polishing the frame = rate* area of frame

= 3×5 = rs 15 per sq cm.

Step-by-step explanation:

a) dimension of the area of the frame or the area between the photo with the frame and the photo without the frame:

length= length of photo with frame- length of photo without frame= 8-6= 2 cm

width: width of photo with frame- photo without frame= 6-4.5=1.5 cm

area of the frame= length × breadth

= 2×1.5= 3 cm^2

cost of polishing the frame = rate* area of frame

= 3×5 = rs 15 per sq cm.

b)

area of footpath= length × breadth = 10×6= 60 sq. m

area of a tile= length × breadth= 3×4= 12 sq. cm

Now converting 60 sq m into sq cms :

1 sq m is 10000 sq cm

600000 sq cm= 60 sq m

no of tiles needed= area of footpath/ area of a tile

= 600000/12 = 50000 tiles
