In the poem A Photograph the poet has lost her mother.She has only a photograph of her as memory.In the photograph her mother alongwith her 2 cousins had gone on a beach to spend holidays.She was eldest of them.The sea waves were washing their feet as shown in the photograph.Her mother was very happy.Thus the poet remembers her mother's childhood when she sees her photograph.
