Explanation:

A Cardboard..................Camera.

This stanza has a deep meaning. In this poem, the word cardboard is used for the frame that supports and bordered a photograph. The photograph is showing the poet's mother when she was 12 years old. In this photograph, she was standing with her 2 cousins Bette and Dolly.

Some twenty....... loss.

In distance are the poet want to say that even after 2030 years the mother look at photographs and love logistically remember the happy ever memories of her past childhood life. She looked at the photograph and comment on the dress that were worn by her cousin, Dolly , Betty, and herself. The poet still remember how her mother would love by seeing this photograph. In the same way the poet fill logistic thinking about mother and her laughing at a small little thing of past.

Now........ silences.

The poet is not remembering that it is nearly 12 years since her mother died. The poet is absorbed in the memories of her Mother's Day. It is the painful silence of the situation, and the poet is speechless now. The silence which is caused by the death of her mother makes the atmosphere gloomy.
