Here,

E=hc/λ

Therefore,

  1. E(total)= E1+E2

hc/λ=hc/λ1+hc/λ2

1/λ= 1/λ1+1/λ2

1/300=1/496 +1/λ2 Therefore,

1/λ2 = λ1-λ/λ×λ1

1/λ2=496-300/496×300

λ2=783.1578947368
