Linear momentum is the product of mass and velocity. it is vector quantity and direction of it is along direction of velocity.

e.g., linear momentum, L = m × v

Where m is mass of the body and v is velocity of that body.

So, unit of linear momentum is Kgm/s  and dimension is [MLT⁻¹]

Impulse is a physical quantity having same unit and dementionof linear momentum. As impulse is large force imparted in short interval of time.

e.g., impulse = F.Δt

unit of force is kgm/s² and unit of time change is sec

So, unit of impulse is kgm/s. It is same as unit of linear momentum.

Similarly. Dimension of impulse is also [MLT⁻¹]
