A picnic basket falls out of a hot air balloon that is traveling horizontally at 14 m/s. The hot air balloon is at an altitude of 250 m. Where does the picnic basket land relative to where it was dropped from?

a= -9.8 m/s^2
v=0

Delta y=250

V^2=v^2+2a delta y

V= = √(14^2 +2(−9⋅8)×(-250)

V= -73.6 m/s......
