So, 60% of x = 18

$18 \times 100 \div 60 = x$


x = 30
so, the total no. of students is 30.
No. of girls =18
No. of boys = Total no.-No. of girls
No.of boys = 30-18
No. of boys = 12

The total no. of boys in school is 12..
