Let the Total number of Students be 'x'.

Therefore, 60% of x = 18

 \frac{60}{100}  \times x = 18

 =  > x =  \frac{18 \times 100}{60}  = 30

Number of Students = 30.

So, the number of boys = 30 - 18 = 12

Hence, ratio of the number of girls to the number of boys is 18:12 or

 \frac{18}{12}  =  \frac{3}{2}
