SOLUTION

TO CHOOSE THE CORRECT OPTION

A picture has 2 sides that are 6 inches and 2 sides that are 10 inches.

The perimeter of the picture

a. 69

b. 22

c. 42

d. 32

EVALUATION

Here it is given that the picture has 2 sides that are 6 inches

Sum of the length of 2 sides

= 2 × 6 inches

= 12 inches

Again 2 sides that are 10 inches.

Sum of the length of 2 sides

= 2 × 10 inches

= 20 inches

Hence the required perimeter of the picture

= Sum of the length of 4 sides

= 12 inches + 20 inches

= 32 inches
