GIVEN:-

  • A picture is 60 cm wide and 1.8 m long.

TO FIND:-

  • Ratio of its width to it's perimeter.

SOLUTION:-

Perimeter of picture:-

Length=1.8 metres

=1.8×100

=180 centimetres

Bredth= 60 centimetres

 \large\boxed{2(length + bredth)}

 = 2(180 + 60)

 = 2(200)

 \large\boxed{400 \: centimetres}

Ratio to it's width to perimeter:-

width = 60 centimetres

Perimeter = 400 centimetres

Ratio = 60:400

 =   \large\cancel\frac{60}{400} \:  \frac{3}{20}  = 3:20

Hence, the ratio of the picture to it's width to it's perimeter Is 3:20.
