In 1.8 m.

180+180+60+60=480. So the perimeter is 480. the ratio would be 60:480,

But in lowest terms it is 1:8.

GIVEN:-

A picture is 60 cm wide and 1.8 m long.

TO FIND:-

Ratio of its width to it's perimeter.

SOLUTION:-

Length and breadth of painting

\rm\red{Length}=1.8 metres \\ =1.8×100 \\ =180 \: centimetres \rm\red{Breadth}= 60 \: centimetres

Perimeter of painting

\large{\underline{\boxed{\tt{\pink{2(length + bredth)}}}}}

= 2(180 + 60) \\ = 2(240)\\ = \rm 480 \: centimetres

Ratio to it's width to perimeter:-

Width = 60 \: centimetres \\ Perimeter = 480 \: centimetres \\ \\ \rm Ratio = 60:480 \\ = \large\cancel\frac{60}{480} \: \frac{1}{8} = 1:8

Hence, the ratio of the picture to it's width to it's perimeter is 1:8
