breadth of the cardboard=10cm

area of the cardboard=l×b

=24×10

=240cm²

length of the picture=24-(2.2+2.2)

=24-4.4

=19.6cm

breadth of the picture=10-(2.2+2.2)

=10-4.4

=5.6cm

area of the picture=l×b

=19.6×5.6

=109.76cm²

therefore area of the margin=240-109.76

=130.24cm²
