So to convert it, you have to divide 56 by the denominator and multiply it to the numerator
2/7 = 16/56
5/8 = 35/56
2. Cross multiplication/ butterfly method
- multiply the denominator of the second by the first numerator and the denominator of the first by the second numerator, lastly multiply the two denominators and compare
