due to its partical bonding or partical nature
pieceof a chalk can broken into its small partical because first it is not a metalic character so its partica are very weak second is the force of atraction between partical is very less or negative which is also known as bonding less particall nature so it is divide on small weight or force
But in bar of iron there are strong bonding between each partical
high force of atraction
so on high force iron partical does not shows the nature of chalk pieces.or iron is a metal piece.

iron is metal it has malleability property.. but chalk is non metal hence non malleable.
