The cost of printing ₹3600

Given data :

• Length of the given piece of cloth = 5 m

• Breadth of the given piece of cloth = 2 m

• Width of the given border = 50 cm = 0.5 m [ Term of unit conversion = 100 cm = 1 m ]

• The cost of printing is ₹200 per metre.

• Now,the length of the cloth with with included border = {5+ ( 2×0.5)} = (5+1) = 6 m

• Now,the breadth of the cloth with included border = {2+ (2×0.5)} = (2+1) = 3 m

• Now,to find the total border length we have to find the perimeter of the final piece of rectangular cloth by using the following formula :

2 × (final length of the cloth + final breadth of the cloth)

So,the border length =

= 2×(6+3)

= (2×9)

= 18 m

• Now,the final cost :

1 m cost = ₹ 200

18 m cost = 200×18 = ₹ 3600

So,the final cost of printing is ₹3600 (answer)
