A piece of copper having internal cavity weighs 264 gm in Air and 221gm in water. Find the volume of cavity if the density of copper is 8.8gm/cm3

☞ Density of copper = 8.8 gm

☞ Weight in air = 264 gm

☞Weight in water = 221gm


Hence,

• Volume in case of air (V1):
= 264/ 8.8
=30gm/cm^3

• Volume in case of water (V2):
= (264-221)/1
= 43gm


☞ Volume of cavity = V2-V1

= 43-30
= 13cm^3
