because 1/4 th of the cork is immersed .
e..g it displaced volume of water equal to 1/4 th of its own volume .
hence,
weight of water 1/4 the volume of cork would be equal to the weight of the cork which is floating .
so,
apparent weight = real weight -buoyancy force
=25/4 g -25/4 g =0
