The level of water in a jar rises, when the whole ice will melt and temperature changes from 4∘C to 1∘C. It is so because, the density of water is maximum at 4∘ and is less at 1∘C. Due to it, the given mass of the water in jar will oc cupy more volume at 1∘C than at 4∘.
