Given :-

◉ A piece of iron has a volume of V = 25 cm³ and mass m = 195 g

To Find :-

◉ Density in,

  • g cm³
  • kg m⁻³

Solution :-

Our measurements are given to find the density in one of the forms given to us i.e., g cm⁻³

So, We know

Density = Mass / Volume

⇒ ρ = 195 / 25

ρ = 7.8 g cm⁻³

For finding the density in second form i.e., kg m⁻³

You can directly change cm into m and g into kg from the density obtain, we will do this method later.

First, convert cm into m and volume cm³ into m³ step-by-step,

Mass

We know, 1 Kg = 1000 g

So, 195 g = 1.95 × 10¹ Kg

Volume

We know, 1 m = 100 cm

⇒ 1 m³ = 100³ cm³

So,

25 cm³ = 2.5 × 10⁻⁵ m³

Now, That we have converted the measurements according to our requirement, Let us find the density now

Density = Mass / Volume

⇒ ρ = (2.50 × 10⁻⁵ ) / (1.95 × 10⁻¹ )

⇒ ρ = 1.28 × 10⁻⁵⁺¹

ρ = 1.28 × 10 kg m⁻³

Hence, The density in

  • g cm⁻³ = 7.8 g cm⁻³
  • kg m⁻³ = 1.28 × 10 kg m⁻³
