A piece of land is in the shape as given in the figure, has been cut
along diagonal AC. The two pieces of land has been distributed
between Ram and Sohan. Who will get larger piece of land in terms of
area? [Use V10=3.15]

Answer:

hey mate here is ur answer

ac²=ab²+bc²

ac²= 12²+35²

= 144+1225

= 1369

ac²=√1369

=37

now u can find out there areas using herons formula mate

Answer:

RAM will get large piece of Land in terms of Area.

Step-by-step explanation:

If we look at Ram's land , it is in the shape of Right angle Triangle, where AB(height) = 12 m

BC (Base) = 35 m

Area of a Right angle Triangle = 1/2×Base×Height

                                                 =   1/2×35×12

                                                   = 210 m²

If we look at Sohan's Land it is Scalene Triangle, So first we have to calculate AC, which is Hypotenuse of triangle ABC.

AC²= AB²+BC²

AC²= 12²+35²

AC²= 144+1225

AC²=1369

AC=\sqrt{1369}

AC= 37

Area of a Sclene Triangle=  \sqrt{s(s-a)(s-b)(s-c)}

Where s= a+b+c/2     (a,b,c are the three sides of scalene triangle)

Calculate s, it will be 28+15+37/2  = 40

From s, we will calculate Area = \sqrt{40 (40-37)(40-28)(40-15)}

                                                  =\sqrt{40*3*12*25}

                                                   = 189.73 Sq m.

So the measurement of RAM's land is more than Sohan's.
