. A piece of magnesium gives bright flames when burnt and a piece of iron glows red when heated strongly. Is there a difference between the two processes? Justify. please help me !

There are similarities and differences between the two . The similarities are : they both need to be burnt to to give out bright frames as well as get glown up . The differences are: magnesium when heated gives about brilliant white sparkly flames and when iron is heated it does not give out any flame kind of thing but it gets molten up and converted into liquid state.
