A piece of marble tile weighs 100g in air. if it's density is 2.5g/cc, what will be its weight in water

volume of marble = 100/2.5 = 40 cc

density of water is 1 g/cc

weight of water displaced =40*1 = 40 g

therefore buoyant force = 40 g

weight of marble in water = 100 - 40

= 60 g
