A piece of paper will burn when a burning matchstick is brought nearer to it whereas a piece of wood will not. Give reason.​

This is because the ignition temperature of the paper is lower than that of the wood. The ignition temperature of paper is 248.889 degree celsius while the wood's ignition temperature is 731.111 degree celsius.
