area = l* b

=) 2¾ = a * 11/4

=) a =( 2 ¾) / (11/4)

=) a. = (11/4 ) / (11/4)

=) a = 1

Given,

Area of rectangular cloth = 2¾ m²

Breadth of rectangular cloth = 1¼ m²

To find,

The length of the given rectangular cloth.

Solution,

We can simply solve this mathematical problem by using the following mathematical process.

Now,

Area of the given rectangular cloth = 2¾ = 11/4 m²

Breadth of the given rectangular cloth = 1¼ = 5/4 m

As,

Area of rectangle = Length × Breadth

11/4 = Length × 5/4 [By, putting the given values.]

Length = (11/4) × (4/5)

Length = 11/5 = 2⅕ m

(This will be considered as the final result.)

Hence, the length of the cloth is 2 metres.
