Given : A piece of ribbon is kept on the ruler as shown  

To Find :  length of ribbon  in cm and m

Solution:

Ribbon one end is at 2cm

Ribbon another end is at 12 cm

Length of Ribbon = 12 - 2 = 10 cm

Length of Ribbon  = 10 cm

100 cm = 1m

=> 1 cm = 1/100 m

=> 10 cm = 10/100 m

=> 10 cm = 1/10 m

=> 10 cm = 0.1 m

Length of Ribbon  =  0.1 m
