correct Question :-

A piece of rope 10m long is cut into three piece if the length of the two piece is {9}{2} and {16}{5}respectively then find the length of the third peice

Given :-

Total length = 10 m

length of 1st piece = \frac {9}{2}

length of 2nd piece = \frac {16}{5}

To find :-

length of 3rd piece = ??????

step by step solution :-

let the length of 3rd piece be x

10m = \frac {9}{2} + \frac {16}{5} + x

10m = \frac {45+32}{10}  + x

10m = \frac {77}{10}  + x

 x = 10 - \frac {77}{10}

 x =\frac{33}{100}

answer :-

length of 3rd piece =  x =\frac{33}{100} meter
