given,
weight of body in air = 120g
weight of body in water = 80g
weight of body in liquid = 60g

The relative density of an object is equal to the ratio of its weight in air and the difference of its weight in air and its weight when the object is submerged in liquid.

for relative density of solid = 120g/(120g - 80g)
= 120/40 = 3

hence, relative density of solid = 3

now, relative density of liquid can be calculated as the ratio of loss of weight of solid in liquid to the loss of weight in water .

e.g., relative density of liquid = (120 - 60)/(120 - 80) = 60/40 = 1.5

Answer:3/2

Explanation:

Weight in air = 120 g Weight in water = 80 g Weight in liquid = 60 g Relative density of the solid = [{weight in air} / {loss weight in water}] = [{120} / {120 – 80}] = 3 Relative density of the liquid = [{loss of weight of solid in liquid}/ {loss of weight of solid in water}] = [{120 – 60} / {120 – 80}] = (60 / 40) = (3/2)
