volume=28cm^3

mass=50g

density=50/28 gcm^-3= 1.715gcm^-3

The formula for giving density is :

Density = mass / Volume

Density can either be given in grams per centimeters cubed or Kilograms per meters cubed.

In this case the volume is in centimeters and the mass given in grams.

Volume is given by :

68 - 40 = 28 cm

Mass = 50 g

Density is therefore given as follows:

50/28 = 1.7857 g/cm

We write the answer to four decimal places.

= 1.7857g / cm
