A piece of stone thrown vertically upwards it reaches the maximum height ins sec if the acceleration of the stone is 9.8 directed towards the ground calculate the intial velocity of stone with which it is thrown upwards ?

v = u + at

v = 0 at max height

t = s sec

a = -9.8 (as stone going upward)

0 = u + (-9.8)s

u = 9.8s   m/sec
