A piece of thin wire is in form of an equilateral triangle of side 31.4 decimetre is bent into a ring with no loss of wire. Find the diameter of the ring

Perimeter of equalietral triangle = side x 3

31.4 x 3 = 94.2 dm

Now, 2 x 22/7 x r = 94.2

r = 94.2 ÷ 6.28
r = 15 dm
diameter = 15 x 2 = 30 decimeter
