A piece of wire 22cm long is bent into an arc of a circle of radius 4cm. What angle does the wire subtend at the centre of the circle

Let, the angle subtended at centre be β.

4 * β = 22 * 100

β = (2200 / 4) radian = 550 radian

β = 550 * (180°) / π

Putting π = (22 / 7).

β = (550 * 7 / 22) * 180°

β = 175 * 180°

β = (87 * 360° + 180°)

So, basically while wound up there will be 87 full rounds and one half round.

So, net angle subtended at centre = 180°.
