A piece of wire 7/8 metre long broke into two pieces one piece was 1/4 metre long how long is the other piece?​

  • Total length of the wire = metres
  • First peice length = ¼ metres
  • Second peice length = X metres

So equation will be like this :

X + ¼ = metres

X = ¼ metres

X = metres

So, the length of the second peice is or 0.625 metres.
